The San Francisco 49ers came out in the second half with two explosive plays and a long touchdown to finally knock the Denver Broncos defense on its heels a bit.

Broncos 20, 49ers 7.

Trevor Siemian remained in the game and on his first drive of the second half, and quickly drove the Broncos out past midfield with two good throws to Marlon Brown. After a short run from Stevan Ridley and a short pass to Jeff Heuerman, Ridley was able to covert the third and short.

After a 9-yard run from Ridley, De’Angelo Henderson converted the first down on the next play to move the Broncos inside the red zone. The drive stalled from there and Brandon McManus kicked the field goal.

Broncos 23, 49ers 7.

The Broncos defense came out angry on the next series and completely obliterated the 49ers drive and a quick punt later it became the De’Angelo Henderson show again. Two quick runs and the Broncos were at midfield again.

However, Ridley came in the game and failed to convert a third and short. The Broncos were forced to punt.

After another 49ers punt, Kyle Sloter got the nod for the Broncos as he closed out the third quarter and will likely play the rest of the game.
