Anderson knows he has competition. He reflected on his injury during the offseason, and seems to have come to an understanding about how fleeting a NFL career is. Listening to him, it is easy to see how his maturity will be an asset to the Broncos.
He looks like he could be a leader on the offense. If Anderson can put together an injury-free season, he can be a major contributor. He is playing for his career in Denver this year. The barn is full of horses ready to run.
Hopefully, what this all points to is a stronger running attack for the Broncos. With Jamaal Charles, Devontae Booker, Stevan Ridley, and De’Angelo Henderson alongside, the Broncos look like a team with enough talent to run the football effectively.
For Anderson, that means he has to step up. He sounds like a man who knows what he has to do to be successful. The question will be, can he put his own words into action on the field?
