Everyone loves them some Andy Janovich.
That’s been clear since the fullback from Nebraska was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round in 2016. Since that point, the legend of Janovich has only grown larger in these parts. But as much the MHR community loves them some Jano, no one comes close to Broncos special teams coordinator Brock Olivo.
If you haven’t heard or seen it yet, Olivo responds to a question about Janovich like I do tacos.
“Jano — love Jano. Jano to me ... if we had 22 Jano's, we would be alright,” Olivo said earlier this week.
If it isn’t clear by now, Janovich is a coach’s dream. He does whatever is asked of him — on the field and off. If it helps the team, the young fullback won’t think twice. If that wasn’t enough, as Janovich was prone to do in college, and in his first season with the Broncos, he’s made big plays in training camp. That shows Janovich brings another element to this offense and will make it that much harder to defend.
On Friday’s The Afternoon Drive, Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro had a wonderful and fun interview with Janovich after practice. There is one line in particular that will make Denver fans incredibly happy.
When Janovich was asked about the Broncos offensive line, he said, “we're going to run the damn ball!"
The legend of Janovich just grew even larger in these parts.
Bonus listen
MHR’s Tim Lynch joined Eric and Les to discuss the hottest debated topics at Broncos training camp. Something tells me the quarterbacks may have been mentioned, but I’m not sure.
