2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame: Live blog

New, comments

Tonight is the night Terrell Davis FINALLY gets enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Let's just go ahead and name today "Terrell Davis Day."

John Elway.

Shannon Sharpe.

Terrell Davis.

The three-headed beast of those great Denver Broncos teams of the late 1990’s are now enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Great teams that win back-to-back Super Bowls tend to end up with multiple Hall of Famer’s and adding these three with Gary Zimmerman, who is also enshrined, shows just how good that offense was.

As great as Elway was in his career, he was not the engine that drove that dynasty. That was powered by the legs of a man who would have the third best first four-year start to a career in NFL History. A man who isn’t just the best playoff running back in NFL History, but best by nearly half a football field. A man who is also a class act and a great person. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is better because Terrell Davis is now in it.

That’s a fact.

So enjoy the show tonight, as Davis is no longer snubbed, but embraced. Go Broncos!
