Are you ready for some football!?
The Denver Broncos can take temporary control of the AFC West tonight with a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. They will hold the tiebreaker with a perfect division record of 1-0 over both the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.
Yeah, I know. Big deal, but I would love to point out this fact to every Chiefs and Raiders fan all week long. The Broncos rushing attack will be key in this game as it will open things up for Trevor Siemian in the passing game.
The Chargers may stack the box to force Denver to become one-dimensional, which is a tactic used to perfection by the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams in their opening day victories. I have to think Siemian is better than Tom Savage and whoever is quarterbacking in Indianapolis these days.
Which means, the Broncos defense will get to feast on some typical Phillip Rivers turnovers. This game could turn into a blowout, but more likely, the Broncos will slog through to the final buzzer.
Go Broncos!
