Play of the Week: C.J. Anderson goes beast mode on Cowboy defenders

New, comments

In a game filled with huge plays, there was on that just stood out all on its own. C.J. Anderson’s 28 yard run was a tone-setter.

Late in the first quarter during the Denver Broncos 42-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, C.J. Anderson took a handoff and proceeded to bowl through every defender that tried to put their hands on him.

It was the kind of play that demoralizes a defense and it set a tone for the game that Denver was going to outplay the favored Cowboys.

The drive led to a missed field goal from Brandon McManus, but the outcome of the drive was less important than the message the Broncos offense sent to the Cowboys defense. That’s why this 28-yard run gets my “play of the week” this week.
