According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, there’s a good chance that Brock Osweiler will be returning to the Denver Broncos.
Sources: Broncos expected to pursue Osweiler after cutting Sloter https://t.co/8VoSQQ93b1 via @9NEWS #9sports

After the Broncos waived fan favorite, undrafted rookie quarterback Kyle Sloter, the Broncos are expected to bring back Brock Osweiler to be Trevor Siemian’s backup.
The Broncos are looking for a backup because Paxton Lynch is expected to miss two to four games(or more if they sign Osweiler per Klis) so they need a reliable option behind Siemian. It appears that Osweiler will be that guy.
As I said yesterday after the Cleveland Browns released Osweiler, this move makes a ton of sense. He knows Mike McCoy’s system, the Broncos know him, and Osweiler knows the players and playbook. This is the sort of player you are looking for a week before the season starts.
Yes, the exit between the two was ugly, but it appears the bridge wasn’t burned and he may very well return to Denver.
