Doug Ottewill sat in with Les Shapiro, while Eric Goodman got his car issues straightened out. Buffalo Bills play by play announcer John Murphy joined the Afternoon Drive to discuss the Denver Broncos upcoming game. There are several interesting storylines that come out of this Week 3 matchup.
Buffalo led the league the last two seasons in rushing. While the Broncos have been stout against the run to start the season, the Bills are a team that can challenge the defense. LeSean McCoy struggled in Week 2, but rushed for 110 yards against the Jets in Week 1. The big question is which Bills rushing attack will show up on Sunday?
Along with that, Tyrod Taylor is an interesting name in Denver. There were once rumors that he was going to sign with Denver. Now, as the starter for the Bills, he will lead their offense against a defense he could have faced daily in practice. And the guy calling the plays is pretty familiar with Denver, too.
Rick Dennison will be on the opposite sideline, and there are already questions about his abilities in Buffalo. Having been the Broncos offensive coordinator, he will likely have a little revenge on his mind. His departure from Denver was met with far more glee than grief. It will be interesting to see how he matches up against a defense he called plays against in practice for two years.
It should be an interesting game. All the side stories can only add to that.
