Practice squad and waiver wire tracker

During the last 48 hours, the Denver Broncos made a series of transactions to get their roster down to 52 players. Some of their notable moves included releasing veteran safety T.J. Ward, trading former second-round pick Ty Sambrailo, waiving fan favorite, quarterback Kyle Sloter, and agreeing to terms with quarterback Brock Osweiler, but they are probably not done yet.

Today, the waiver wire claims will likely be announced around noon ET so we may see another player or two added to the Broncos roster. Also, the Broncos can begin building their 10-man Practice Squad around 1 P.M. ET, so we will see some movement there as well.

I’d expect the Broncos to target some defensive line depth, especially at nose tackle. Zach Kerr is listed as the backup to Domata Peko, but he is injured. The Broncos also waived Kyle Peko and Tyrique Jarrett so I expect a veteran added there. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some offensive line, tight end, or edge rusher depth as well.

We will also see if undrafted rookie quarterback Kyle Sloter will make it through waivers and sign on the Broncos 10-man Practice Squad. He will likely draw interest around the league, so it’s not a lock that he will be back. We’ll also see if players like Tyrique Jarrett, Orion Stewart, Justin Murray and others will make the Practice Squad as well.
