That 10th and final practice squad spot will likely go to a quarterback after undrafted rookie Kyle Sloter signed on to the Minnesota Vikings 10-man Practice Squad. So look for that quarterback to be added sometime tomorrow.
So let’s take a look at the nine players the Broncos added to their Practice Squad.

Notes on the Broncos Practice Squad players:
- Nose tackle Tyrique Jarrett: The 350+ pound rookie nose tackle played well for the Broncos this preseason. He rag dolled blockers at times and used his size and strength to bully lineman who stood in his way. I think Jarrett has a future here in Denver, and I believe he will be activated to the 53-man roster at some point this season
- Tight end Austin Traylor: Traylor was a name you saw mentioned in the Training Camp practice reports basically on a daily basis. He carried that over into the preseason where he held his own and made a few nice catches. I expect Traylor to provide depth at the tight end position and be activated if/when there’s an injury at that position during the season.
- Center Dillon Day: This is Day’s third time being on the Broncos Practice Squad. The former Mississippi State lineman will provide depth at the center position and will get activated if anything were to happen to starter Matt Paradis.
- Cornerback Marcus Rios: He is an undrafted rookie cornerback from UCLA who had a promising summer despite missing some valuable time in camp due to injury. He will essentially be the Broncos sixth corner and be called up if anything happens to the five corners who made the 53-man roster.
- Offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson: The Broncos add depth at the tackle position by adding the big man Elijah Wilkinson to their practice squad. He’s listed at 6’4”, 329lbs and fits the bigger/stronger mold of lineman they seem to be targeting this offseason. He’ll serve as the Broncos fourth tackle behind Garett Bolles, Menelik Watson, and Donald Stephenson
- Safety Dymonte Thomas: The undrafted rookie from Michigan cracked the Broncos practice squad over former Broncos safety Orion Stewart. Thomas had an impressive pick six against the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason finale, so that likely helped him secure a spot on the practice squad. He’ll provide depth behind Darian Stewart, Justin Simmons, Will Parks, and Jamal Carter.
- Inside linebacker Jerrol Garcia-Williams: The undrafted rookie linebacker from Hawaii went mostly unnoticed by fans and media this summer, but he did enough to impress the Broncos coaches. Look for him to provide depth behind inside linebackers Brandon Marshall, Todd Davis, Corey Nelson, and Zaire Anderson
- Wide receiver Hunter Sharp: The first-year wide receiver had a promising summer and beat out multiple receivers in the Broncos deep receiving group to crack the Broncos 10-man practice squad. He had a solid preseason as well.
- Edge rusher Deiontrez Mount: The Broncos recently added Mount and clearly thought enough of him to place him on their 10-man practice squad. He’s a 6’5”, 253lb edge rusher who played his college ball at Louisville. He’ll provide depth at a banged up edge rushing unit and also beat out Vontarrius Dora for a practice squad spot.
