Report: Broncos fire Assistant Head Coach/Running Back’s coach Eric Studesville

Another shocker.

According to reports, the Broncos have fired now former Assistant Head coach/Running Back’s coach Eric Studesville in a bit of a surprising move.

Studesville has been a member of the Denver Broncos for quite awhile and served as the Broncos intern Head Coach when Josh McDaniels was fired way back in the day. He has been with the team through multiple Head Coaches and was the Broncos Assistant Head Coach last season under Vance Joseph. Now the Broncos are moving on.

Studesville is a surprising firing because of his status with the team, the fact he turned down an Offensive Coordinator interview with the New York Jets last season and was even connected to the New York Giants Head Coaching job a few days ago by NFL Network’s Peter Schrager.

It’s clear the Broncos are cleaning house on the offensive side of the ball, but it is surprising that they moved on from Studesville.

This obviously did not sit well with the Broncos players, including 1,000-yard rusher C.J. Anderson who voiced his displeasure on Twitter.

The Broncos will now be in search of a new Assistant Head coach, Running Back’s coach, Offensive Line coach, Wide Receiver’s coach as well as a Special Team’s coach.
