After the Atlanta Falcons manhandled the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round, they were made road favorites over the Philadelphia Eagles. The minute that happened, I picked the Eagles to win this game.
My intuition was correct, because the Eagles coaching staff wasted no time posting that information in the locker room. Fletcher Cox said the Eagles felt disrespected and we all know what a number one defense can do when they feel disrespected.
Earlier this week I predicted the Eagles would win a close 20-16 game over the Falcons, but that gap might widen if the Eagles defense plays as well as they have at times this season. Matt Ryan has shown he can be shut down with pressure and pressure is something the Eagles defense does better than anyone.
