According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos have hired former New York Giants Offensive Coordinator Mike Sullivan to be their Quarterback’s Coach. They also hired former Chicago Bears Running Back’s coach Curtis Modkins to fill their Running Back’s coach position previously held by longtime Broncos coach Eric Studesville.

Sullivan served as the New York Giants Offensive Coordinator through the 2016 and 2017 seasons under former Head Coach Ben McAdoo. Before that, he served as quarterback Eli Manning’s Quarterback’s coach during what were Eli’s career-best seasons. Now he will hopefully do the same for whoever is quarterbacking for the Broncos next season.

Sullivan has experience with new Broncos Offensive Coordinator Bill Musgrave. He served under him as an Offensive Assistant in 2003 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Now for you dot connectors, there are multiple reports stating that the Broncos have zero interest in veteran quarterback Eli Manning. The Giants have made it clear that they want their veteran signal-caller back next season anyway.

As for Curtis Modkins, he served as the Chicago Bears Running Back’s coach under former Broncos Head Coach John Fox. There he coached one of the better running back tandems led by second-year player Jordan Howard and explosive rookie standout Tarik Cohen.

Before that, he served as the San Fransisco 49ers Offensive Coordinator in 2016, as the Detroit Lions Running Back’s coach from 2013 to 2015 and the Buffalo Bills Offensive Coordinator from 2010 to 2012.

The Broncos have hired two very experienced coaches with prominent coordinating experience to their positional coach positions. Hopefully, this experience leads to success from the Broncos quarterback and running back positions in 2018 and beyond.
