Does the Broncos quarterback of the future involve Kirk Cousins?

Friday’s The Afternoon Drive discus the future and how it may or may not involve Cousins because of money.

The Kirk Cousins speculation has been here for months.

It amped up when the San Francisco 49ers made the huge trade for Jimmy Garoppolo, since they were deemed the favorite to land Cousins. Once that move happened, coupled with how bad the Denver Broncos were, it seemed inevitable the two sides would come together. Since the 2017 season finally ended, the speculation has gained even more steam.

On Friday’s The Afternoon Drive, Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro debated whether Cousins is, indeed, Denver’s quarterback of the future. The basis of the great chat was based on the financials and why the move may or may not happen because of the cash that is needed to bring it to life.

From now until 2 p.m. MT on March 14 (when the league year starts and NFL free agency begins), the Cousins speculation will get hotter and hotter. Will John Elway make the move? Should he? Let the debate and fun commence.
