It’s was a trying season for the Denver Broncos, but that’s in the past now. Looking back and reflecting, there were still some bright spots on the team week in and week out. According to Pro Football Focus, Von Miller was the brightest spot and it wasn’t even close.

Not that Miller being an elite player is surprising, but to be that much more dominant than the next highest graded Broncos is notable.
What surprised me the most was seeing all three cornerbacks in the Top 5. We’re used to seeing Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr. on these list, but the inclusion of Bradley Roby was surprising.
He had some really rough outings this season, but I think what those poor performances overshadowed was how well he played being by far and away the most targeted player in the secondary every single game.
He led the league in pass defenses and had his fair share of big plays given up. What I ultimately saw from Roby is a guy finally coming into his own as a top tier NFL cornerback. I think he might be on the verge of a breakout season.
The last guy on the list surprised me the most. C.J. Anderson got his 1,000 yard season and ran hard all year long. He’s also the guy on this list most likely not to be a Bronco next season, but I still appreciate the time and effort he put in while with the Denver Broncos.
