The Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs released their first injury report of the week ahead of their big divisional matchup this Sunday. For the Broncos, despite having a mini-bye week, they enter this contest rather banged up as multiple key players sat out today’s practice.
CB Adam Jones returned to practice today, while six players — including Royce Freeman & Darian Stewart — did not practice.

The players who sat out today’s practice for the Broncos are guard Nico Falah(Concussion), running back Royce Freeman(ankle), wide receiver DaeSean Hamtilon(knee), linebacker Shane Ray(ankle/wrist), safety Darian Stewart(neck), and tackle Jared Veldheer(knee).
The key name here is rookie running back Royce Freeman. He looks doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Chiefs. This would be a big loss to the Broncos offense and a big gain for the Chiefs defense. If you remember, they couldn’t tackle Freeman before the Broncos decided to stop giving him the ball.
If Freeman is unable to go, look for Devontae Booker to get reps in his place.
There is some good news on the injury front. Veteran cornerback Adam Jones put in a full practice and looks good to go for Sunday’s game. With the electric Patrick Mahomes led offense awaiting the Broncos, having a healthy Jones is a plus.
As for the Chiefs, safety Eric Berry, linebacker Justin Houston, and center Mitch Morse sat out practice today. The status of Houston and Morse will be something to watch throughout the week.
