The Denver Broncos have shuffled their roster around after waiving Chad Kelly not long after the second-year quarterback’s felony trespassing charge Tuesday morning by promoting wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie to the active roster and signing quarterback Garrett Grayson to their practice squad.

McKenzie, 23, was drafted in the fifth-round of the 2017 NFL Draft and spent much of his rookie season driving Broncos fans crazy with fumbles on punt returns. However, he has some good speed and the team stashed him away on their practice squad this season for further development.

He finished with 21 punt returns for 183 yards, but had six fumbles (three lost) in just 11 games in his first season.

Grayson, 27, was a third-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints spending two years on their practice squad before spending 2017 on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad.

The former Colorado State quarterback finished his collegiate career with 9,190 yards passing with 64 touchdowns.
