The Broncos already had big expectations for rookie linebacker Bradley Chubb, but he may have already surpassed those expectations and has his eyes set on some history.

After a slow start, rookie linebacker Bradley Chubb has been on fire and has 8 sacks for the Broncos through nine games. Now he has his eyes set on the NFL’s rookie sack record. That record is held by former Tennessee Titans rookie pass rusher, Jevon Kearse. The Freak totaled 14.5 sacks for them his rookie year and Chubb is keeping pace with him.
“For sure, I’ve definitely looked at it. I definitely know the number,” Chubb admitted with a grin. “I’ve definitely got it written up somewhere. But my main focus is just doing what the team needs. And if it happens, it happens.”
Through the Broncos first five games, Chubb totaled 1.5 sacks but has totaled 6.5 sacks through the Broncos final four games. If he continues this hot streak, he will easily break Kearse’s rookie sack record.
Whether he breaks the sack record or not, the Broncos have a promising pass rusher to pair with Von Miller for the foreseeable future.
