Just who are these Denver Broncos?
With just three victories to their credit ten weeks into the 2018 season, the Denver Broncos are taking the week off. Much has been written over the last week about how Denver is better than their record reflects. Were it not for a dropped pass here and a missed kick there, the fortunes of the boys in orange and blue would be much brighter; Vance Joseph’s seat wouldn’t be as hot.
While it’s comforting to look back and muse about how things could have gone, it really doesn’t do any good. The reality is that Denver is 3-6 and any hope of playing in January is quickly evaporating. The team and fans can fall all over themselves wondering ‘what if’, but what really matters is day 1 of week 11.
The story of this season is still being written. Can the Broncos view themselves as they did during the first couple weeks of the season? Is there promise? Is there fight in that dog? I would like to think that this week off has given everyone an opportunity to reflect on this almost lost season. Will we see a newly energized squad?
I think there’s a chance the Broncos come out and shock Los Angeles. Wouldn’t it be something if they did? The truth is that the team needs to turn the page or it will be turned for them shortly after the season. The time is now, fellas.
