With 14 carries for 110 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Phillip Lindsay broke the Denver Broncos record for most yards rushing by an undrafted rookie in team history passing both Mike Bell (677 yards) and Selvin Young (729 yards) on that list.
Lindsay now has 780 yards on 135 carries for a whooping 5.8 yards per carry and has added 6 touchdowns with five games still to go.
After setting the Broncos record, Lindsay can now set his sights on NFL records. He now stands 6th on the all-time list for rookie undrafted running backs. He is just 30 yards from taking the fifth spot and 50 from the fourth spot, then from there it will get interesting.
Ryan Grant is third all-time with 956 yards, LaGarrette Blount is second at 1,007 yards and Dominic Rhodes holds the top spot on the all-time list at 1,104 yards.
Whether Lindsay runs his way to the very top or not won’t change how we all see him. He is a dynamic talent and the biggest steal of the 2018 NFL Draft.
