The business side of the NFL finally caught up with Demaryius Thomas and the Denver Broncos as he was traded last week to the Houston Texans for essentially a fourth round pick.
Despite that, the Broncos intend to honor Thomas just five short days after that trade as his new teams comes to Denver to take on the Broncos. According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos will play highlights before the game and hang new banners outside of the stadium - one saying “Thank you” and the other “Play Ball”.
Thomas will still go down as one of the Broncos all-time greats at the wide receiver positions. He ranks in the top three in almost every category that matters, mostly behind either Rod Smith or Shannon Sharpe on the Broncos all-time lists. That is certainly elite company and will likely earn him a Ring of Fame honor at some point after he retires from the NFL.
