Ledyard: Broncos could look at Drew Lock in 2019 NFL Draft

The Denver Broncos need a quarterback, but they may end up having to pass on much more talented players to get one early. Should they go that route again?

Jon Ledyard of The Draft Network hit the airwaves in Denver on Wednesday talking with Ryan Edwards, Andrew Mason, and Steve Atwater on Orange & Blue 760.

In the first round, Ledyard thought Missouri quarterback Drew Lock is the kind of quarterback that John Elway would be intrigued by. Lock played well down the stretch, but still needs more development despite being a four-year starter at Missouri.

Ironically, The Draft Network has Drew Lock ranked as the 165th best player in the 2019 NFL Draft right now, which means Elway would have to pass up on a lot of more talented players to reach for a quarterback.

With such a stacked draft on the defensive side of the ball, cornerback is also a possibility in Ledyard’s eyes with Bradley Roby likely heading to free agency after this season. That might be a tactic that one that improves the team the most.
