Phillip Lindsay becomes eighth Broncos rookie to gain 1,000 scrimmage yards in a season

With four and a half games still to go, Phillip Lindsay inks his name in Denver Broncos history by surpassing 1,000 yards from scrimmage.

In an unassuming 1-yard pass, rookie running back Phillip Lindsay surpassed 1,000 total yards from scrimmage to become just the eighth rookie in Denver Broncos history to reach that milestone.

With four and a half games still to go, he could end up with the most scrimmage yards by any rookie in Broncos history.

Lindsay has topped 100 yards rushing twice this season and 100 yards combined rushing and receiving in in three other games. He has developed into a home run threat on offense and has solidified his hold on the starting position.

Not bad for an undrafted player out of Colorado who didn’t even get an invite to the NFL Combine.
