The Denver Broncos finish out a disappointing season against the Los Angeles Chargers who will be looking to exact a bit of revenge for a fluky loss to the Broncos earlier in the season.
In a season beset by injuries, the Broncos a likely to send rookie sensation Phillip Lindsay to injured reserve next as he is slated to have surgery on an injured wrist that could set him up for a lengthy 6 month recovery. Head Coach Vance Joseph said on Wednesday that he was disappointed that Lindsay would miss out on the final game and the Pro Bowl.
“Absolutely,” Joseph said. “He’s had a great year, obviously. To go out that way is not good for him, but it doesn’t take from the year he’s had. He’s had a great year, he was a great find for this football team and moving forward he’s going to be a great player for this franchise. He wants to finish it and go to the Pro Bowl, but he can’t because of the injury. We all know what he did this year.”
This game is fairly meaningless for Denver. The only matter of true consequence is where the franchise ends up picking in the 2019 NFL Draft. Currently, they could pick anywhere from 7th to 16th depending on the outcome of Week 17.
