2019 NFL Draft order: Broncos will likely pick 10th overall

The Denver Broncos will not actually have a coin flip with the Buffalo Bills to determine who will get the 9th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Clarification by outside sources have sorted out the tiebreaking scenarios - sort of.

UPDATE: It was originally reported that there would be a coin flip between the Bills and Broncos, but that would only have been the case had they been from different conferences. Since they are both in the AFC, there are a lot more tiebreaking scenarios to consider before getting to that coin flip.

This entire thing was set up by a now-deleted tweet from NFL Research noting that the Broncos had the 9th overall pick. It is now certain that Denver’s Strength of Victory is going to ensure they pick 10th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

It’s still a Top 10 pick! And if the NFL can’t even figure out its odd way of determining tiebreakers, then maybe they should update it to be a little bit more simplistic and not needing a mathematician to figure out.

We’ll update this story again on Monday when the NFL is able to do the complex quantum calculations to figure out who actually gets the 9th and 10th overall picks in their draft.

Original story: The Denver Broncos season ended with another disappointing defeat, but for once a loss helped the franchise. The 2019 NFL Draft order is now mostly set for the non-playoff teams and for Denver their final position will be determined by a coin flip between them and the Buffalo Bills for the ninth overall pick.

The first round is now mostly set for the first 20 picks in the NFL Draft. The Broncos and Bills will be decided by a coin flip and the loser of the game between the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts will decide the 19th overall pick.

Here is where things are set.
