In an interview on First and 10 at 10 on Orange & Blue 760 on Monday, Shelby Harris was disappointed to hear that Vance Joseph was fired noting that Joseph was the biggest reason Harris got his shot at the starting lineup on the Denver Broncos. That’s something he’ll always be appreciative of.
Harris went on to note that Bill Kollar said 2018 might have been the first year he’s ever had his starting five defensive lineman play in all 16 games in a season - a testament to how well the big men up front battled game in and game out.
The best part of the interview may have come around the 2:30 mark when Harris cracked a joke about the position he is most suited to play on defense.
Harris, 27, is slated to become a restricted free agent in March and he has enjoyed a breakout season and will be looking for a long-term deal. If John Elway is serious about making this team better, then locking Harris down beyond 2019 is a must.
