Rumor: Broncos not finding much trade interest for Aqib Talib or Emmanuel Sanders

Teams appear to be content playing chicken with John Elway as free agency approaches.

The Denver Broncos have been rumored to be shopping both Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders for a few weeks now, but so far it seems teams around the league have been tepid with their interest.

It isn’t because teams think Sanders and Talib aren’t good players, but rather their belief the Broncos will release them anyway as they dive headlong into the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes when free agency hits.

If John Elway truly wants something for nothing, then he’ll need to lower the trade offer in return to generate more interest.

Sanders, with his age and contract, isn’t much of a surprise to me that there hasn’t been much interest around the league. Talib on the other hand. His contract is very friendly for a cornerback of his level. Maybe teams are balking at him due to his on-the-field antics than his contract, making them more prone to trying to get him as a free agent than in a deal with the Broncos.

It would be disappointing if Denver ends up just releasing both players for nothing. Desperate times, I guess...
