Broncos start the free agency countdown

We’re almost there.

Only a few more days until the Denver Broncos start to take shape and questions are answered. Will John Elway land the free agent prize in Kirk Cousins? Who else will Elway target? Does Elway have any tricks up his sleeve and make a move no one predicted?

Come 2 p.m. MT on Wednesday, the speculation will stop since that’s when the league year begins and players are able to sign with teams. Even if it doesn’t come right away, we’ll have a pretty good idea. In fact, we’ll start to get answers come 10 a.m. Monday when the “legal tampering” period opens. If Elway starts talking with agents, we’ll know about it and who he is looking at.

Before that comes, Adam Malnati and I had some fun on the latest MHR Radio Podcast with the help of Laurie Lattimore-Volkmann and Jeffrey Essary to preview free agency, make sense of the Aqib Talib trade and the player not named Cousins we would like to see Denver target. It’s a fun a show if I do say so myself.

At the very least, we’re that much closer to answers.
