What was once thought as impossible just got a little life.
Are Drew Brees & agent Tom Condon waiting for offers from elsewhere to help set his market value w/ the #Saints?
— Spotrac (@spotrac) March 12, 2018
It still is a pipe dream, but when John Elway is involved, there is always a glimmer of hope.
As of 10 a.m. MT Drew Brees remains unsigned by the New Orleans Saints and as entered the “legal tampering” period. That means Elway and the Denver Broncos are free to talk with Brees’ agent, Tom Condon. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he also represents Peyton Manning. At the very least, Elway and the Broncos have worked with Condon in the past, but Manning could have an impact on this as well.
As I asked on the latest MHR Radio Podcast: At what point do you start to think, “maybe?”
The start of #NFLFreeAgency is almost here. With the help of @docllv & @JeffreyEssary, @AdamMalnati16 & I preview what's in store for the #Broncos, and we try to make sense of the Talib trade on the latest @MileHighReport Radio Podcast. https://t.co/kNrTU6EkQZ

This isn’t to say Brees will end up in Denver. This isn’t to say Elway will make this huge splash. But almost everyone expected a deal to keep Brees in New Orleans to be finished by now. As he has shown over the course of his career with the Broncos, all Elway needs is a chance.
