The Denver Broncos are still in the market for some help on defense and the biggest rumor continues to be a possible trade for the Washington Redskins’ safety Su’a Cravens.

According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos have made multiple trade offers to the Redskins, but have yet to strike a deal with Washington’s General Manager Bruce Allen.

Elway also had been working or some trades, which requires more patience. For instance, Washington safety Su’a Cravens and Dolphins right tackle Ja’Wuan James. The Broncos thought they had a deal in place with the Dolphins for James, but they needed another move to come through. When it didn’t, they kept James.

The Broncos have made multiple offers for Cravens but have yet to reach a deal with Washington GM Bruce Allen.

They added Tramaine Brock during the opening moments of free agency to help shore up the number three cornerback position, but losing Aqib Talib definitely leaves a huge hole in the secondary. A talent like Cravens would definitely help fill that void.

The interest appears mutual as Sayre Bedinger of Predominantly Orange noticed that Cravens has recently taken a huge liking to Broncos-related posts on Instagram.

Trades definitely take longer to work out when neither team is desperate for a move. The Redskins appear content to see Cravens on their team when he returns to the NFL; however, for the right price, they may be willing to part ways with him. The Broncos would like to make that trade, but they also clearly have concerns about Cravens’ long-term health and desire to play in the league.
