The Denver Broncos Director of Player Personnel Matt Russell, Defensive Coordinator Joe Woods, and Running Backs Coach Curtis Modkins were all selected to attend this year’s event.
Russell joined the team in January of 2013 and has been John Elway’s right-hand man since then. He has been integral in the teams draft process for the past five seasons. Woods spent two seasons as the Broncos defensive backs coach before taking on the defensive coordinator role full-time last season, while Modkins was hired on as the running backs coach just this year after the team fired long-time running backs and former interim head coach Eric Studesville.
This symposium has been a valuable asset for future leaders with past attendees including Jay Gruden, John Harbaugh, Mike Zimmer, and even Vance Joseph who all went on to be head coaches in the NFL. On the general manager side, John Dorsey and John Schneider both attended this symposium.
