Full 2018 Denver Broncos draft class

The Denver Broncos entered the 2018 NFL Draft with a framework to trade back with the Buffalo Bills in the first round, but then edge rusher Bradley Chubb fell into their laps. The rest of the draft went with the Broncos taking consensus solid pick after solid pick. It was a fantastic draft. Now the players just have to go out and produce.

On Day 2, John Elway and his staff focused on offensive production taking highly touted wide receiver Courtland Sutton in the second round and running back Royce Freeman in the third. They both will likely figure heavily in red zone packages next season.

From there, the Broncos made some trades to gather more late round picks and focused on filling out some depth on the roster. These players could be hidden gems that one day start for this team or they could be the solid depth every playoff team relies on in January football.

Overall, I used to think the Broncos draft well every year. However, I had come to accept that this hasn’t been the case for a while. I tempered my excitement, but to see draft experts everywhere hail the Broncos draft class as one of the best of the year changed my mood a bit. In year’s past, I would spend time arguing against those experts and now they are with us, so maybe the Broncos did something really special with this class.
