According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Denver Broncos will be meeting with three of the top four quarterback prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft by next Monday.
Broncos continue diligence on QBs — UCLA’s Josh Rosen will be in Denver for a Top 30 visit tomorrow. Wyoming’s Josh Allen will visit team facility on Monday. And USC QB Sam Darnold’s private workout with the team is in between those on Friday.

Per Breer, UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen will be in for a Top 30 visit with the Broncos at their team facility today. Following Rosen will be Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen who will also have a Top 30 visit with the Broncos that following Monday.
The Broncos will continue their quarterback workouts on Friday when they travel to Los Angeles to work out the potential first-overall pick, USC quarterback Sam Darnold. Unlike the rest, the Broncos will travel to see Darnold instead of the prospect traveling to visit with the team.
Interesting.
Big week for USC QB Sam Darnold. He's at the Browns facility tomorrow and, as we mentioned a while ago, he'll work out for the Broncos in LA on Friday.

It doesn’t stop there. The Broncos will visit with the fourth and final big four quarterback on April 16th when they host Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield.
That coincidentally is the start of the Broncos strength and conditioning program. So Mayfield will be meeting General Manager John Elway, Head Coach Vance Joseph along with key members of the Broncos who participate in the strength and conditioning program. A nice potential head start for a player who already spent time with the Broncos coaching staff.
I think we can officially end the Broncos pursuit of these quarterbacks as a “smokescreen”. A term often overused by fans. The Broncos have now met with these prospects on multiple occasions and have spent time and resources getting to know these players.
Sam Darnold: Elway and Kubiak watched Darnold during his bowl game and now will hold a private workout with him. They also had a meeting with him at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Josh Rosen: They interviewed him at the Combine, Elway and the Broncos contingent watched his Pro Day, and now he’ll be in for a visit with the Broncos sometime today.
Josh Allen: Elway and Matt Russell attended Allen’s Bowl game, coached him at the Senior Bowl, interviewed him at the Combine, Kubiak attended his Pro Day, and now he’ll be in for a pre-draft visit.
Baker Mayfield: Broncos planned on attending his Bowl Game before finding out he would be on their Senior Bowl roster, they requested that he would be on their Senior Bowl squad, coached him at the Senior Bowl, had him in for a interview at the Combine, Elway, Kubiak, Russell, Joseph and others attended his Pro Day, and now they will have him in for a pre-draft visit.
Consider the smokescreen theory busted.
The Broncos have legit interest in the quarterbacks and may use these final workouts/visits to shape their rankings of these four quarterbacks and potentially find “their guy”.
