Former Denver Broncos guard and Super Bowl 32 champion, Brian Habib, talked Broncos on Orange & Blue 760 on Thursday. The interview was very good and offered some great insight on those Broncos teams in the mid to late 1990s.
He compared the Broncos ownership to the Seattle Seahawks team he played for after he left Denver, calling Pat Bowlen the best owner her ever worked for. It was that great leadership at the top that Habib felt led to championship caliber rosters.
Any comment or story pointing out how great Pat Bowlen was as an NFL owner is worth mentioning. The expectations were so high in Denver, but Bowlen made everyone feel like a part of the Broncos family. The high quality leadership led players to play harder and care more about winning than what Habib had experience in both Seattle and with the Minnesota Vikings as the other two franchises he played for.
