Should the Denver Broncos make their color rush helmet their permanent gameday helmet?

If there was one uniform change I could make for the Denver Broncos, it would be the color rush helmet all day, every day.

Sometimes the retro look becomes the better look again. When the Denver Broncos first switched from the old school uniform in 1997 to the new look, I personally felt like the team was being born again. I loved the old uniform, but after three Super Bowl losses in the 1980s and the Jacksonville Jaguars playoff game in 1996, I was ready for a change.

The rest was history, The Broncos won back-to-back Super Bowl championships, ending their 38-year drought as a franchise. Since the change, the franchise is 3-1 in Super Bowls after going 0-4 in the older helmet style.

This post was brought on by a simple question I asked on Mile High Report’s Twitter this week about people’s favorite jersey’s.

I saw a reply from someone of the Broncos 1960s vertical socks uniform and thought immediately to the color rush uniforms for some reason. Don’t ask me why, but it did. How many of you would like to see the old school Broncos helmet with the color rush flair brought back permanently?
