David Bruton Jr. was a fan favorite during his time in Denver for his hard work, community service, and team-first attitude. As a multi-year special teams captain, and 3rd safety/dimebacker for the historic 2015 Super Bowl run, Bruton knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL and in Denver.
That’s why it was really encouraging to hear him talk about the kind of player Denver is getting in Su’a Cravens. Bruton was on the Washington Redskins in 2016 during Cravens’ rookie year and so he got a first-hand glimpse at not only the player Cravens was on the field, but also off the field.
When Andrew Mason asks him about Cravens around the 8:00 mark, Bruton immediately states: “they’re [the Broncos] getting a young guy who is hungry, very athletic, and willing to learn.” He praised Cravens for essentially having to learn two positions his rookie year as he worked to learn both safety and linebacker.
It also just makes me smile hearing Broncos all-time great safety, Steve Atwater (who is a co-host on the show), talking with former Bronco safety, David Bruton, about a current and future Broncos safety, Su’a Cravens.
Check out the full interview above. It’s worth the listen.
