Who is the most indispensable Broncos defender? (Not named Von Miller or Chris Harris Jr.)

Andrew Mason on 1st & 10 @ 10 stated his case for rookie pass rusher Bradley Chubb, and he’s not wrong.

The question is a fun and interesting one: Who is the most indispensable Denver Broncos defender?

Of course you have to add the caveat ... not named Von Miller or Chris Harris Jr., because those two go without saying. When you do it makes the question way more fun. On Friday’s 1st & 10 @ 10 on Orange and Blue 760, that’s the debate the guys had on the show. Andrew Mason made the case for Bradley Chubb because of how crucial pressure on the quarterback is for Denver’s defense. If the Broncos want to get back to the defense of two seasons ago, Chubb will help make that come to life. For my money that player is Chubb, and given the results of the Twitter poll Broncos fans agree.

If Ryan Edwards had a fifth option for the poll, he would have included safety Justin Simmons (so I did it for him in the poll below). One could make the argument that Simmons could be that third defender for the defense this season. In fact, you could put forth an argument for any of the guys included.

It’s an interesting question, especially a week out from the start of training camp.
