Hall of Fame voter Jim Trotter of Sports Illustrator spoke to Ryan Edwards, Steve Atwater, and Andrew Mason on Orange & Blue 760 on Tuesday to talk about Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen.
Trotter noted Bowlen’s contribution to the NFL in media deals and labor negotiations along with the success of his franchises during his tenure should make him a very formidable candidate in the contributor voting process this year.
In my opinion, the voters in this process got it wrong two years ago when they decided Jerry Jones was more worthy than Pat Bowlen. What the voters told us all with that decision is that being a brash egomaniac is a better quality for the Hall of Fame than conducting yourself with integrity and professionalism.
