For Colorado Buffs fans, you will be pleased to hear that rookie running back Phillip Lindsay already has a fan in veteran inside linebacker Brandon Marshall after the former torched the latter on a 50-yard touchdown pass that was sprung from a nifty double-move.
Phillip Lindsay just cooked Brandon Marshall on a double move and hauled in a Case Keenum pass for a 50-yard touchdown in 7-on-7

After practice, Marshall was asked about the play and said pointedly that with all due respect to Devontae Booker, Lindsay is going to be the Denver Broncos third-down back in 2018.
“He’s going to be our third down back with all due respect to Devontae Booker,” Marshall said.
Von Miller backed that sentiment up saying guys like Lindsay just can’t be covered in the NFL.
Von Miller on Phillip Lindsay: “We’re definitely gonna have some things planned for Phillip. Guys like that in the league, you just can’t cover them.”

Lindsay is a smaller running back, but has elite quickness and burst. He could end up being a running back version of a Tyreek Hill for the Broncos this season. For an offense in dire need of explosiveness, it’s hard to see a way Lindsay doesn’t make the final 53-man roster if he keeps this kind of practice up.
