Broncos’ Jeff Heuerman is ready to make an impact

The tight end is finally healthy, and looking to be a big part of the Broncos offense.

Jeff Heuerman began his career with the Denver Broncos in the worst way possible. Blowing out his ACL has been difficult to overcome, but he is finally healthy. He sat down with 1st and 10 at 10 on Orange and Blue 760 to talk about how training camp has been going.

Even with his knee healed, Heuerman has dealt with hamstring issues, and at the start of camp he had to take some time off. He is back and healthy now. Along with being healthy, he has also built good rapport with Case Keenum. Becoming friends with the guy who throws you the ball is, in the words of Steve Atwater, “smart move.”

Heuerman echoed a theme that has been a big part of the Denver Broncos training camp. Keenum has brought a smoothness to the offense that was missing in recent years. While that didn’t manifest itself in the game against the Vikings, the potential is there for the offense to have a good year.

Heuerman’s health is huge for the Broncos. The tight end group seems strong, and has a chance to be a major part of what the offense does. As the season draws closer, look for the offense to step up big, and you can expect Heuerman to be a part of that.
