You do not want to blow these kind of bubbles. There are actual roster bubbles that will determine the fate of players like quarterback Paxton Lynch, running backs De’Angelo Henderson and Phillip Lindsay, there are over nine wide receivers who find themselves on the roster bubble and three tight ends — including rookie Troy Fumagalli whom finds himself at the bottom of the tight end depth chart after a consistent injury.
The offensive line has all kinds of interesting old versus young battles going on, left tackle Cyrus Kouandijo finds himself unable to play in the important seasonal dress rehearsal, leaving plenty of elbow room for youngin’ Elijah Wilkinson. Billy Turner wins by default over Andreas Knappe who finds himself missing the third preseason game due to where he finds himself in the concussion protocol. Max Garcia received heavy praise from offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave this week and may count himself as the only healthy backup guard on Friday.
That’s just the offense!
We will talk about the bubbles and the battles that you may be unaware of, we’ll have our favorites to win each battle as well.
Be aware, our current 53 man roster count only has 51 names on it and we have our full 10 member practice squad picked out. We’re digging deep on a few guys who will remain under our microscope names like WILL linebacker, (undrafted rookie) Jeff Holland, rookie inside linebacker Keishawn Bierria, defensive end DeShawn Williams, rookie safety Trey Marshall and rookie tight end Troy Fumagalli.
