Mike Klis of 9News has reported that the Denver Broncos are releasing second-year wide receiver Carlos Henderson from their practice squad. The embattled player has struggled through multiple missteps to start his career, while also failing to report to training camp. He then served a one-game suspension.
Through all of that, the Broncos kept hope alive. However, it would appear he didn’t have a very good week of practice and the team has moved one.
I previously listed Isaiah McKenzie as a possible option for the practice squad, but he was added already this week, which I missed. Kyle Peko would have been nice, but he has signed with the Buffalo Bills practice squad, so the Broncos would need to sign him to their active 53-man roster to get him back.
We’ll keep this post updated as new information comes in.
