Broncos vs. Raiders play of the week: Tim Patrick for the win!

There was no bigger play during the Denver Broncos dramatic 20-19 comeback win over the Oakland Raiders than Tim Patrick’s catch and run late in the fourth quarter.

After one of the worst dropped passes we’ve ever seen from Demaryius Thomas, it felt like Case Keenum and the Denver Broncos were going to come up just short on that last minute drive against the Oakland Raiders.

Then undrafted second-year wide receiver Tim Patrick showed up. He made former first-round pick Gareon Conley look silly in coverage, catching a short pass from Keenum and turning it up field for a monster game-clinching 26-yard gain.

Patrick, 24, came out of nowhere in Broncos training camp as an undrafted player who spent time with both the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers before joining the Broncos last season.

The 6’4” wide receiver proved he had the size and the hands to make those contested catches in the NFL. Through two games this season, he has exactly one catch for 26 yards and my “Play of the Week” award.
