The Denver Broncos were down to three cornerbacks in their 27-14 road defeat to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but it looks like they might already be on their way back to full strength with some good news from Tramaine Brock’s groin injury.
According to Mike Klis of 9News, Brock will be day to day with that groin issue. That is a lot better than what was initially feared as a more serious strain.
Broncos’ General Manager John Elway noted that the team expects to have Adam Jones back for their Week 4 Monday Night showdown with their AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs. Brock may not quite be back that soon, but the sooner the better, as the Broncos will have a tough middle of the season schedule against some good offenses.
Update: Brock could reportedly be ready to play the Chiefs next week. That would be surprising, since groin injuries can be the nagging type of injury that is better rested an extra week than rushed back from.
Vance Joseph: "Brock had an MRI and he appears to be okay... He and Adam Jones should be back this week."
