The Denver Broncos added punter Colby Wadman to the practice squad on Tuesday and released defensive lineman Niles Scott. The move figures to add some competition for Marquette King who has been lackluster through the first three games.

“He has to simply punt better,’’ head coach Vance Joseph said Monday. “No different than our corners have to play better in coverage, and we’ve got to block better. He’s a football player and he’s got to do his job. He’s got to punt better.”

King has a 44.6 yards per punt average, which ranks 22nd in the NFL. Although his 41.6 net is 14th best. Either way, in the Mile High altitude he should easily be ranked much higher.
