Tweetcap: Broncos players react to Week 1 win over Seahawks

Led by an MVP-esque performance by Von Miller, you could say the team was ‘lit’ today.

Annnnnndddddd...WIN No. 1 is in the books.

How’s that W taste, Broncos Country?

Yep, pretty damn good.

It was a typical Broncos game in that it came down to the wire, and it was the defense that had to hold on for the victory, but for the first time in many, many games, there was confidence that the offense - even in spite of mistakes - could win this.

And it did.

With the help of a bunch of new guys as well as some spectacular veterans.

Case Keenum found Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas, Courtland Sutton, Phillip Lindsay, Devontae Booker, Jake Butt and Jeff Heuerman open to pull down 329 offensive passing yards, while Lindsay and Royce Freeman racked up more than 140 rushing yards combined.

It was finally an offense - not to mention an offensive line - to scream about. “Let’s GO BRONCOS!”

It wasn’t all pretty as Keenum threw three interceptions that did not instill confidence in some.

Especially one guy known for bad takes.

But that guy also once thought THIS guy should be traded:

Who ALSO did this:

Sackmaster Von Miller finished with three sacks - his most ever in one game - two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Basically, a pretty good game.

To add a cherry on top of this beautiful cake, Justin Simmons and Adam Jones came down with a pick each while Brandon McManus nailed two field goals, both beyond 50 yards, including a 57-yarder.

The turnovers were costly but the good news is that the offense and defense are good enough to overcome them.

As you can imagine, the players felt pretty good about the day’s effort too.
