On Monday, the Denver Broncos met with Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien after the first East-West Shrine Game practice session of the week.

Rypien isn’t quite your prototypical quarterback at 6’2” and just 200 pounds, but his frame could grow into that type of prototypical look. He finished his collegiate career with a whooping 13, 578 yards passing and 90 touchdowns, but is not in the discussion for a first or second day pick.

Jon Ledyard of The Draft Network covered the Rypien angle a bit on First & 10 at 10 with Ryan Edwards, Andrew Mason, and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Atwater on Wednesday. However, the player Ledyard really felt hyped about was Ole Miss quarterback Jordan Ta’amu. He sees him as a legitimate sleeper quarterback in this years’ draft, which I thought was interesting.

Ta’amu is about the same size as Rypien and both will be playing the East-West Shrine Game and both are players Ledyard projects as late round guys.
