The Kansas City Chiefs have advanced to the AFC Championship for just the second time in 25 years. Last time, Joe Montana carried them this far, but Patrick Mahomes might already be better than Montana could ever dream of being.
On the other side you have Tom Brady, who has a terrible road playoff record despite the years’ of success he and the New England Patriots have enjoyed. The top seeded team in the AFC has advanced on to the Super Bowl in each of the last five years, which means we may be witnessing a changing of the guard in the AFC West and the AFC in general with the Chiefs becoming the next dynasty in the NFL.
They have been so great that even Broncos Country is infatuated with them to the tune of voting nearly 60% in favor of them beating the Patriots and establishing their franchise as the standard bearer of the AFC.
For me, I will root for the evil I know over the evil I don’t want to know. Go Pats!
