Coming into the game I mentioned how Patrick Mahomes health has been a serious issue for the Chiefs in recent weeks. After the Broncos defense held up on third down following a questionable fake punt, Andy Reid dialed up a sneak. It blew up in his face.
Patrick Mahomes just went down with an injury on a QB sneak, appeared to be in massive pain and unable to move. Trainers then seemed to pop his right kneecap back into place and Mahomes walked off the field. And is now ruled out for the rest of the game. pic.twitter.com/u0o7ZK6y94

During halftime this tweet hit my timeline. According to David Chao it looks like Patrick Mahomes may have dislocated his right patella kneecap. The knee was locked where he could not bend or straighten it.

This story will be updated as we find out more. Right now it looks like the Chiefs will have Matt Moore under center for the foreseeable future.
UPDATE:
It sounds like Mahomes will miss less than a month.
Patrick Mahomes’ MRI was, in the words of a league source, “good” and it “turned out to be a best-case scenario.” Prior to MRI, team believed best-case scenario was Mahomes missing “about three games.”
