My Ultimate DFS Fantasy Team for Week 9

It’s Sammy and the Jetssssss....

NFL: New England Patriots at New York Jets Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Some of the big-name teams are on their Bye this week and it makes for an interesting week fo Daily Fantasy Football. I don’t feel good about the lineup this week...because I feel great about it! Join me in the carnage that is to come from our obliteration of all opponents!

Lineup is taken from Draftkings.com

QB - Sam Darnold

Sammy boy may be seeing ghosts on the field but the only ones in Miami will be the invisible type because daaaaang. It’s not like the Jets offense has been anything above horrible this year but my guess is that Adam Gase pulls out all the stops against the Dolphins in order to win a game, cool his seat and get a pat on the back for a butt whooping. Darnold is a talented dude and though it’s a risk, he could win you some big cash.

RB - Royce Freeman

I haven’t played him yet this year but he appears to be trending upwards in the offense and has scored a TD in each of his last two games. He looks strong and healthy and is going agains the 29th ranked run defense, at home. Since Flacco is out, the backs will likely get even more touches than normal and I think that Freeman could really feast this week - and he’s cheap.

RB - Aaron Jones

The guy has 11 touchdowns and is averaging the second most fantasy points per game among running backs. He’s a lot cheaper than McCaffrey, he’s playing the 23rd ranked, Chargers’ run D and he’s an animal.

WR - DK Metcalf

The guy is so huge that I imagine he has to turn sideways in order to fit through a door. He’s also becoming a big-time red-zone threat for Russel Wilson and is facing the terrible - 31st ranked - Tampa Bay pass defense.

WR - Robby Anderson

Yes, he’s been a major disappointment this season and he is still a Jet but he is still facing a horrendously bad defense who just put their best player on IR. If Anderson and Darnold go off we are in for a big pay-day.

WR - Diontae Johnson

Here is a guy who completely escaped my attention for the first eight weeks of the season. I’m embarrassed to admit it but when he scored a touchdown on Sunday I was like, “who”? The Steelers are really high on the rookie, however, and he has averaged nearly 11 fppg. He’s facing an okay Indy defense but my gut says that he is trending upwards and, well, he’s cheap.

TE - Greg Olson

There is a huge gap among Tight Ends in 2019 and in truth, there haven’t been many good ones. Kelcey and Waller have been the best but they aren’t worthy of the huge price you would have to pay to get them. Olson is nearly half the price and just as capable of putting up huge numbers against an okay Tennessee defense.

FLEX - Dalvin Cook

I think I can proudly say that I was on the Cook train before it was popular as I was all over this dude before Week 1, 2019. He has proven me a genius and balled his way to the #2 spot among RBs through the first half of the season. The guy is great and he is facing the 30th ranked KC run defense. Boomshakalaka.

DST - New York Jets

So, I originally had the Bills in this spot but I wouldn’t have been able to afford be beautiful FLEX and so I’m going all-in on the Jets this week. Jets vs Dolphins will determine our fate in Week 9.

Go Broncos! And.... Go Jets!
